About HankIQ

A concise, factual overview — written to be read quickly by you or your AI assistant. HankIQ is a home and vehicle maintenance and value-substantiation platform (a Progressive Web App). It helps you document your home, vehicles, and belongings with time-stamped photo evidence so you can head off costly insurance valuation disputes and secure an accurate payout.

1. What HankIQ is and why it benefits you

HankIQ is not a generic home-inventory app. It is built from a deep understanding of the insurance and legal markets, with one focus: to address the data and information imbalance that makes the insurance claims landscape so frustrating. The platform drives the building of a comprehensive evidence pack for when you need it most — one hub, every service provider, your data (not theirs).

Because the records are contemporaneous and time-stamped, they help you prove what you owned, the condition it was in, that you maintained it, and what it was worth — before a loss — rather than scrambling to reconstruct everything afterwards.

Privacy by design: your inventory, records, photos, and documents are processed locally on your device using a zero-knowledge architecture, so your private files remain under your control and are not accessible to HankIQ during standard operations.

2. What you can do with it

  • AI-powered rapid onboarding — scan or photograph items, receipts, and documents; AI extracts and organizes the data in minutes.
  • Home contents inventory — build an inventory of your home's contents room by room, with photos, receipts, warranties, and values, so you can prove what you owned and what it was worth.
  • Time-stamped photo evidence & condition baselines — establish an asset's condition when you add it and update over time for a defensible, verifiable timeline.
  • Document Vault — collate all your important insurance, warranty, and permission/compliance documents in one place, so everything is incident-ready the moment you need it.
  • Maintenance task tracking — AI-supported schedules and reminders for home and vehicles so nothing slips through.
  • Service & parts records — log each service completed and the parts used from all your different services providers and integrate them into the app, so it is ready to fold straight into a report should one ever become necessary.
  • Centralized service-provider records — HVAC, roofer, plumber, mechanic, handyman, pest control, and more, kept together.
  • Service-provider network — appoint participating local providers from withn a users local community.
  • Policy sub-limit & per-item alerts — record your coverage and get notified when an item or category exceeds its limit (spot underinsurance before a loss).
  • House-hardening reports — document fire-risk mitigation to support premium-discount applications.
  • Incident expense logging — capture out-of-pocket costs and actions during a wildfire, fire, water-damage, or vehicle event, backed by receipts.
  • Export-ready reports — generate inventory, valuation, maintenance, vehicle-condition, fire-mitigation, and substantiation reports as CSV/PDF for your insurer or adjuster.

Feature map — what each part of the app does

A complete list of the areas inside HankIQ and the specific actions available in each, generated directly from the product's own feature registry so it stays current as the app changes. Where an action depends on a plan or membership, that is stated in brackets.

Dashboard

Your home base: every asset you track, with what needs attention next.

  • Add an asset Select the House, Vehicle, or Content/Stuff tile to open that group, then choose "Add New" at the end of the list. Each category holds up to four assets - the tile shows how many you have used, and the button says so once you reach the limit. During a free trial it is one per category.
  • Open an asset Select a category tile to expand it, then pick an asset by name to open its own hub, where its tasks, providers, documents and evidence live.
  • Capture evidence now Choose "Quick Completion Capture" to photograph something straight away and decide which task or asset it belongs to afterwards. Captures are time-stamped as you take them, so they show condition over time rather than being reconstructed after a loss.

Asset hub

Everything recorded against one property, vehicle, or contents collection.

  • Jump to a section Use the tiles to move between tasks, providers, documents, inventory, and expenses for this asset.
  • Edit asset details Open the asset's edit screen to correct its name, type, or address details.

Maintenance tasks

Scheduled upkeep for this asset, and the record of what has been completed.

  • Add a maintenance task Create a task, set how often it repeats, and it will keep generating the next occurrence each time you complete one.
  • Complete a task Mark the task done and attach a photo or document as evidence. Completing a repeating task automatically schedules the next one.

Task records

The completed history of maintenance on this asset.

  • Review what has been done Browse completed tasks with their dates and attached evidence - this is the history that feeds your maintenance reports.

Service providers

Local network providers for this asset, plus the providers you have saved yourself.

  • Find a local provider Tap a category in the orbital to see that provider's details, contact options, and Google Maps rating.
  • Browse more providers Open "Browse more providers in your area" for the wider list beyond the featured category partners.
  • Generate a member discount (Annual plan, Not during beta) On a partner's card, choose "Discount" to generate a code to show the provider.
  • Add your own provider Save a provider you already use so their contact details and service history stay with this asset.

Bookings

Service appointments you have scheduled for this asset.

  • Schedule a service Book a service against a provider to keep the appointment tracked in HankIQ. This is your own record - it does not contact the provider for you.

Document vault

Insurance policies, warranties, permits and receipts for this asset, kept in one place.

  • Upload a document Add a policy, warranty, permit, or receipt so it is ready to fold into a report when you need it.

Contents inventory

A room-by-room record of what you own, with photos and values.

  • Add an item Choose "Add Item" and record it with a photo, plus its receipt or value where you have them, so you can prove what you owned and what it was worth.
  • Scan a room Also under "Add Item": photograph a room and let AI extract the items it can see, then review and correct the list before saving.

Incident expenses

Costs you incur after an incident, grouped so they can be claimed together.

  • Start an incident Create an incident, then log each related expense against it as costs come in.
  • Log an expense Record what you spent and attach the receipt, so the running total stays evidenced.

Policy limits

What your insurance actually covers for this asset, recorded for reference.

  • Record your cover Enter the limits from your policy so you can sanity-check them against what you have documented.

Maintenance

Maintenance across all your assets in one view.

  • See what is due Review upcoming and overdue work across every asset, rather than opening each one separately.

All providers

Every service provider you have saved, across all assets.

  • Add a provider Choose "Add Provider" to open the form, and keep their details and service history in one place.

Reports

Turn what you have recorded into a document you can hand to an insurer or buyer.

  • Build a report Pick the report you need - substantiation, maintenance plan, maintenance history, vehicle condition, or fire mitigation - and choose "Create Report" to follow the steps. Which tiles you see depends on whether you are looking at homes, vehicles, or contents.
  • Open your vehicle history report (Loyalty members) The vehicle history report is provided as a loyalty benefit rather than built here - choose "Access Report" to open it from your document vault.
  • Find your monthly reports Monthly maintenance reports are generated for you rather than built here - open them from your document vault.

Data backup

Back your data up to your own cloud storage, and restore it on a new device.

  • Connect cloud backup Link Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox. Your records live on your device, so a backup is what protects them if you lose or replace it.
  • Restore on a new device Sign in on the new device and restore from your connected cloud backup.

  • Update your details Change your name and review the email your account is registered against.

  • Keep Certified Log Status Stay active each month - log maintenance, capture evidence, and keep a current backup - to build and hold the consecutive-month run the benefits are based on.
  • Choose your annual benefit (Loyalty members) Once you have held Certified Log Status long enough, choose either a vehicle history report or a roof and gutter aerial report.
  • Apply for an Appraisal Advance (Annual plan, US only, Not during beta) If you are disputing your insurer's offer you can apply for an advance towards a panel estimator's fee. Applying is the benefit - approval is at our discretion, and caps and terms apply.

Pricing

Plans and what each category costs in your region.

  • Compare plans Choose your region and billing period to see the price for the categories you want to cover.

3. Annual + loyalty member benefits — before an incident and after you file a claim

Keeping your records current (HankIQ estimates about five minutes a month) earns Certified Log status, which unlocks the loyalty program. The benefits split into two phases:

Before an insurance incident (prevention & documentation)

  • Build a contemporaneous, time-stamped evidence pack — condition baselines, maintenance history, receipts, warranties, valuations, and service-provider records.
  • Policy sub-limit & per-item alerts flag underinsurance before a loss, so you can adjust cover in time.
  • House-hardening reports document risk mitigation to support premium-discount applications.
  • A complimentary report — a comprehensive vehicle history & market/spec report, or a home roof/gutter aerial report.
  • Referral credits toward your next renewal (up to $120).
  • Unlock discounts from participating maintnenance and service providers (average around 10%, area-dependent) that, for many users, can be worth more than the app subscription itself.

After you file a claim (evidence & dispute support)

  • Instantly generate and export substantiation, valuation, maintenance, and condition reports (CSV/PDF) to hand directly to your adjuster — your everyday logging becomes claim-ready evidence.
  • If you dispute the insurer's offer: Supplemental Estimation support — up to $250 toward a panel estimator working in Xactimate (annual members).
  • If an appraisal becomes necessary: eligibility to apply for a discretionary, zero-fee, non-recourse Appraisal Advance to help fund the process.

Disclaimer— the Appraisal Advance is a zero-fee, non-recourse asset purchase; HankIQ receives solely from the excess you actually recover above your insurer's last written offer, capped at what was advanced. It is discretionary — there is no obligation to purchase; eligibility to apply is the benefit. Eligible Annual Subscribers only. US only; not available in all states. Loyalty benefits vary by region (US / CANZUK / EU). Caps and T&Cs apply.

Pricing

14-day free trial. US pricing is $6.99/month billed yearly (or $8.49/month monthly); regional pricing applies for CANZUK (from £5.49/month yearly) and the EU (from €5.69/month yearly). One subscription covers your home, vehicles, and belongings.
